Abstract Galaxy clusters are the largest gravitationally-bound systems int he universe and statistical studies of clusters and their member galaxies can constrain cosmological parameters as well as trace the evolution of galaxies in a variety of environments. The Red-Sequence Cluster Surveys (RCS) have mapped galaxy clusters over 1000 square degrees to redshifts of ~1 via the unique colors of cluster core galaxies. The Spitzer-Adaptation of the RCS Survey (SpARCS) extension has discovered clusters to z~ 1.5 by extending this method to infrared wavelengths. These galaxy-selected surveys provide a contrasting sample of clusters for comparison with surveys using X-ray and Sunyaev-Zeldovich observations of the intra-cluster gas. In this talk, I will present the cluster survey and muti-wavelength follow-up observations, including mass calibration methods and the evolution of cluster gas and galaxies.
