Abstract:
35 night of VLT observing time has been used to
study the chemical composition of extremely metal-poor stars. These
stars are living witnesses of the early stages of the galactic
evolution. High resolution, high S/N spectra have been obtained with
UVES, the high resolution spectrograph attached to Kueyen, the second
unit of the Very Large Telescope. In this talk, I will report on the
determination of the abundance of the neutron-capture elements. The
results will be discussed in the light of the current knowledge of
s-process and r-process nucleosynthesis.
