Abstract: I will present a novel approach to study galaxy evolution with numerical simulations. We combine cosmological Nbody simulations with a semi-analytical method to transform dark matter haloes merger trees into galaxy merger trees. We then evolve these merger tress for more than 10 Gyears using a full hydrodynamical code, than includes gas cooling, star formation and feedback process. We are able to attain a lower computational time and a higher spatial and mass resolution than standard zoomed hydrodynamical cosmological simulations. This allows us to study in details the dynamical evolution of galaxies. I will present and discuss some preliminary results on the evolution of disk galaxies and on galaxy major mergers.
