Abstract: The ASTRA Cassegrain Spectrophotometer is now working
in a manual mode on the 0.40-m telescope of the
Dominion Astrophysical Observatory, Victoria, BC, Canada.
It is the first spectrophotometer, built in 40 years, designed
to measure in detail the optical energy distributions of stars with
high precision. It is the first to use a black-illuminated UV-coated CCD
as its detector. An overview of the instrument and plans for the next
few years will be given.
