Abstract In the early Universe, a dual component made of coupled CDM and a
scalar field, if their coupling \beta > \sqrt{3}/2, owns an attractor solution,
making them a stationary fraction of cosmic energy during the
radiation dominated era. Along the attractor, such components have
early density parameters 1/(4\beta^2) and 1/(2\beta^2) (field and CDM,
respectively).
If a further component breaks such stationary expansion at z~3-5*10^3,
cosmic components gradually acquire densities consistent with
observations.
An appealing possibility is that this extra component is warm. We
performed a full linear analysis of this class of models and found
that, for large \beta values, corresponding at a present coupled-CDM
density parameter ~10^-3 (a pinch of dark pepper), CMB spectra are
strictly similar to LCDM, while the transfer function own features
significantly easing long standing questions, as Milky Way
substructures, dwarf rotation curves, small galaxies in voids;
simultaneously the fit to Ly\alpha and other observables is also
promising.
