Abstract: The Baryon acoustic Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey has
introduced the measurements of large-scale structure at high redshift
using the Lyman alpha forest. In addition to the Lya forest
autocorrelation, the cross-correlations with quasars, DLAs and metal lines
can be studied. This talk will focus on the DLA-Lya cross-correlation,
which yields a measurement of the bias factor of DLAs of 2.2 +- 0.2.
This implies that DLAs are associated with more massive halos and galaxies
than current models from simulations have been predicting, and
suggests a picture where massive galaxies at z ~ 2.5 are surrounded
by DLA systems with proper radii larger than 20 kpc.
