Abstract Results from high-resolution, numerical, N-body/hydro simulations concerning the birth and evolution of primordial structures in the LCDM framework will be shown. Implications for molecule-driven star formation, feedback effects, stellar population transition, predicted luminosity functions compared to actual data at z>6, and GRB hosts in the first Gyr will be presented. Extensions to alternative (non-Gaussian) models will be discussed, as well.
