Abstract First results are presented from galaxy clustering measurements in the Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey (BOSS), which is part of SDSS-III. Data release 9, which was publicly released in July, contains 327,349 massive galaxies with an effective redshift z=0.57 covering 3,275 square degrees. Assuming a concordance LCDM cosmological model, this is equivalent to 0.77 h^{-3} Gpc^3, and represents the largest sample of the Universe ever surveyed at this density. In addition to reviewing the physics behind these techniques, I will present results from Baryon Acoustic Oscillation (BAO), Redshift-Space Distribution (RSD) measurements, as well as more recent measurements. In total 14 team papers have been published so far on these data. I will then look ahead to future projects.
