Abstract:
The current data on neutrino mixing and oscillatons will be reviewed.
The prospects for future progress in understanding the origin of
neutrino masses will be outlined.
The problem of determining the nature - Dirac or Majorana, of
massive neutrinos and of the status of CP-symmetry in the lepton
sector will be briefly considered.
The possibility that the CP-violation necessary for the generation
of the baryon asymmetry of the Universe is due exclusively to the
Dirac and/or Majorana CP-violating phase(s) in the neutrino mixing
matrix and thus is related to CP violation in the lepton sector
at low energies that can be observed, e.g. in neutrino
oscillations, will be reviewed.
