Abstract:
The nature of the dark matter (DM) component of the
Universe is still unknown. Among viable scenarios, thermal generation
seems the most natural DM production mechanism, and weakly interacting
massive particles (WIMPs) are among the leading DM candidates. We will
discuss the possibility to detect dark matter by identifying a
contribution from dark matter WIMP pair annihilations to the galactic
and extra-galatic radiation. The approach we propose involves
exploiting multi-wavelength observations and the cross-correlation of
signals at different wavelength. We also discuss the possibility to
detect DM through the SZ-effect expected from WIMP annihilations.
